The Polynesian Blood Transfusion Center (CTS) needs blood donors.
Due to the particular situation currently in the Taaone hospital, the blood transfusion center has had a blood collection point installed at the Mathilde Frébault Institute in Papeete for the entire duration of the confinement. would like to donate blood but would be afraid to go to the hospital, ”explains the doctor responsible for blood collections, Valérie Ségalin.
Located right next to the Mamao vaccination center, this collection point will be open every day of the week from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. In addition, the CTS located at 2e CHPF floor also remains open during the usual hours to welcome donors.
Finally, since vaccination is not a reason for contraindication to donating blood, people who go on site to be vaccinated can, once their injection is finished, donate their blood to the CTS which is currently looking for “all blood groups, without distinction ”.
