This Tuesday, starting at 2:30 p.m., the country’s health authorities will meet at the Camino Real hotel in Santa Cruz to assess the status of vaccination against Covid-19 and “define responsibilities and optimize our vaccination levels, especially in the identified groups”, according to the Minister of Health, Jeyson Auza, who called the meeting.

Roberto Vargas, secretary of the branch, will attend on behalf of the municipality of Santa Cruz, who indicated that in Santa Cruz not only diagnosis is being strengthenedbut also vaccination. So much so that, in addition to the six massive diagnostic points and the health centers that offer the tests, also in diagnostic care and vaccines can be found in the 15 sub-municipalities.

Vargas stated that, daily, between 3,000 and 4,000 tests are carried out diagnostic tests to determine whether or not the symptoms of those who come correspond to the coronavirus. He ruled out that there is a shortage of evidence and announced that 250,000 more are being purchased, so that the citizen always has them at their disposal.

Meanwhile, the Government also received the invitation from the Ministry of Health, according to Dorian Jiménez, head of the Expanded Program on Immunization, in contact with the media. The governor, the departmental secretary of Health and the manager of Epidemiology were invited.

Jiménez expressed that in addition to evaluating vaccination, they will define strategies to improve immunization in the school age group, i.e. 5-17 years old old.
