Today, Monday, Monday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced the exit of 12 persons infected with the Corona virus from the isolation hospital, including a foreign woman, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, bringing the total of those recovering from the virus to 259 cases to date.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Adviser to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson of the ministry, said that the number of cases whose laboratory results were converted from positive to negative for Corona virus (Covid-19) rose to 396 cases, including the 259 recovered.
He added that 149 new cases that proved positive for laboratory analyzes of the virus were recorded, all of them Egyptians, including those returning from abroad in addition to contacts with positive cases that were discovered and announced previously, as part of the ministry’s surveillance and investigation procedures according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 7 cases.
“Mujahid” said that all registered cases of HIV positive in isolation hospitals are subject to medical care, according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization. Mujahid stated that the total number registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until today, Monday, is 1322 cases, including 259 cases that have been cured and discharged from the Isolation Hospital, and 85 deaths.
Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, reviewed an analysis of the epidemiological situation in Egypt and an evaluation of the situation of injured patients in hospitals, where it was found that 88% of them suffer from minor symptoms, 7% suffer from moderate symptoms, and pointed out that 3% suffer from severe symptoms, and 2% are critical. Stressing that Egypt is one of the countries with minor injuries in relation to the population according to the divisions of the World Health Organization, where the World Health Organization divided the world into three groups according to the number of injuries in relation to the population in a million which are (high injuries, medium injuries, minor injuries, including Egypt), as she indicated To the death of 30% m N cases of death in Egypt, before reaching hospitals.
The Minister pointed out that the Ministry provides psychological support services to citizens during periods of domestic isolation, as well as for the injured and those in contact with it, through hot 105, and two other lines have been activated, which are 0800888700 and 0220816313, where the citizen is re-contacted within 24 hours from the date of contact by a team of doctors specializing in Both psychological and social support.
She added that the psychological support service also includes the members of the medical teams inside the isolation hospitals, and also aims to raise awareness that the infection with the Corona virus is not a stain, and that the public’s inquiries are answered on how to deal with the increasing stresses, explaining that 150 mental health professionals have been trained for psychological support and response On public inquiries on the Ministry’s official pages, as part of efforts to tackle the epidemic.
Mujahid reiterated not to monitor any cases infected or suspected of being infected with the new Corona virus in all governorates of the Republic except what has been announced, indicating that once any infections appear, they will be announced immediately, in full transparency according to the international health regulations, and in coordination with the World Health Organization. The Ministry of Health and Population continues to raise its preparations in all governorates, follow the situation first-hand regarding the “emerging corona” virus, and take all necessary precautions against any viruses or infectious diseases, as the hotline “105” and “15335” has been allocated to receive citizens’ inquiries about a virus Corona emerging and infectious diseases.
