The Ministry of Health and Population announced that 573 people recovering from the Coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, bringing the total of those recovering from the virus to 126,176 cases to date.
A statement by the ministry stated that 680 new cases that proved positive in laboratory analyzes of the virus were recorded, as part of the necessary surveillance, investigation and examination procedures that the ministry conducts according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 49 new cases.
The statement said that, according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
The statement stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until Sunday, is 161,143 cases, including 126,176 cases that have been cured, and 8,902 deaths.
