The President of the Republic has set three major objectives which are inspired by the conclusions of the Strategic Council of Health Industries (CSIS), launched by the Government on February 11, 2021.
What is CSIS?
The Strategic Council of Health Industries was created in 2004 by the Government with the aim of establishing a dialogue between the State and industrialists on the means of maintaining and strengthening the attractiveness of France in the health sector. health. The year 2021 represents the 9th edition of the Council.

The first challenge concerns the biotherapies, such as vaccines to “Messenger RNA“, synthetic biology or the fight against cancer. France is 95% dependent on imports in this area. In order to break with this state of dependence, the Head of State has set two objectives to be achieved in the next five years:
- produce at least five new biomedicines;
- double the number of jobs in the sector.
The second objective tends to develop the use of data from digital health. At the same time, other objectives will complete the system:
