The Agapê home in Chenit, in the Joux valley, has to close due to the pandemic of the new coronavirus. Residents and EMS staff have been infected with Covid-19, cantonal authorities said in a Saturday communicated: “The reduced team struggled to ensure the full range of services and the proper monitoring of care for residents.” The majority of hosts were transferred to another center in L’Auberson, in northern Vaud, reports Keystone again- ATS.
The Agapê foyer has twenty individual rooms in an old renovated farm. “The architectural structure made it difficult to care for Covid-19 patients,” added the press release from the State of Vaud.
For the record, the Joux Valley is one of the regions most affected by Covid-19 in the canton of Vaud.
