Health. 962 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Alsace

The figures provided this Sunday by Public Health France, if they do not suggest a serious deterioration on the front of the pandemic in Alsatian hospitals, do not give a significant improvement either. Thus, if we counted this Sunday evening 962 people hospitalized for Covid in Alsace (460 in the Bas-Rhin, 502 in the Haut-Rhin), this figure was 920 the day before, January 9, from 941 on January 8, from 978 January 7 and 964 on the 6th. A sort of “plateau”. It’s a bit the same with the number of severe cases of coronavirus, requiring hospitalization in an intensive care unit (resuscitation). This Sunday evening, there were 111 people placed in intensive care in Alsace (61 in Bas-Rhin, 50 in Haut-Rhin). This figure was 100 the day before, 105 on January 7 and 8.

In 24 hours, Public Health France counted 41 new hospitalizations, 26 in Bas-Rhin, 15 in Haut-Rhin. There were 10 intensive care admissions, 9 in Bas-Rhin, one in Haut-Rhin. We deplore the death of 5 people in hospital this Sunday, one in Bas-Rhin, 4 in Haut-Rhin. The day before, Saturday, there were 14 deaths, 7 in each of the departments.
