After Australia, Le Cham’s changes scenery to become a 100% American bar with the change of owner, who is none other than Robin Fernandez, manager of Malvern and Zanzibar. With its freshly renovated green facade and its star-spangled banner proudly displayed on one of its sides, Le Cham’s announces the color. Inside, the dimmed lights and the large wooden tables on the side, facing the huge counter, invite conviviality and sharing. As for drinks, here again, the course for the USA is maintained. “We wanted to create an American bar where, like there, we could drink pints and not pints, with only American beers except Tripel Karmeliet and red“, explains the manager. Open only in the evening, the service also wants to be American style. “In the United States, there is no culture of service. We do not put the glasses on a tray to come and serve them. To keep this concept, we sell alcohol by the pitcher that everyone brings back to their table to share with friends. It’s a bit self-service, but that’s what Americans do.“. And to spend a 100% American moment, the bar does not stop at beers and other alcohols. It provides customers (mostly students in the second part of the evening) with three “American formula” billiards, a pinball machine and even an interactive darts game that will allow you to play live with an opponent who can be anywhere in the world.
Super Bowl final aired!
The Cham’s will go even further to develop American culture and in particular that of sport. For the first time in Valencia, a bar will broadcast live the Superbowl final which will take place on the night of Sunday 12 to Monday 13 February. For the occasion, Cham’s will join forces with Domino’s Pizza which will provide a service until 3am. Sports broadcast nights shouldn’t stop at American football. It could indeed be that the NBA (the national basketball association) and the NHL (National Hockey League), among others, are also on the screens of the Valentin bar.
