Juergen Klopp and Antonio Conte have a fairly balanced meeting record. There is potential Tottenham Hotspur tackle Liverpool.
Klopp will lead Liverpool when they host Conte’s Tottenham at Anfield Stadium in the English Premier League, Sunday (8/5/2022) WIB. The two teams drew 2-2 in the first meeting of the season in London.
The full number is the target of both teams. Liverpool must keep their distance from Manchester City in order to compete for the Premier League title, while Spurs are eyeing qualification for the Champions League. Moreover, Tottenham, which sits in fifth place, is only two points away from Arsenal above it.
So far Klopp and Conte have met five times. As a result, both managers bagged one win and three draws.
The only win Juergen Klopp obtained with a score of 2-1, when Conte was still in charge of Chelsea, September 2016. The victory marked the first meeting between the two managers.
In the next four meetings, Klopp and Antonio Conte three draws including two meetings at Anfield. One other meeting belonged to Conte after leading the Blues to a 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge in May 2018.
“This is a very big test,” the German manager said in Metro. “People from outside will say it will be difficult for Liverpool and we think so too. Tottenham have good quality and are not too bad away from home in terms of possession and playing tight and playing on the counter-attack.”
“They have fast players up front like Harry Kane, very good. This is probably the biggest challenge for protection we have faced in a long time,” Klopp said ahead of the match. Liverpool vs Tottenham.
