“Head Teacher Reported After 12-Year-Old Girl’s Suicide in Norway”

A head teacher has been reported after a twelve-year-old girl took her own life in Western Norway earlier this year.

The parents tell the newspaper that the girl was bullied and was banned. Therefore, the parents report the headmaster at the school for a breach of Section 9A of the Education Actwhich will ensure children a safe and good school environment.

For several years, the girl had told the school she attended about bullying and exclusion. Dagbladet has been given access to the girl’s student file, which shows, among other things, that the school created several activity plans.

But the measures that were implemented did not lead to the girl experiencing that the school environment was safe and good.

The police confirm to Dagbladet that they have received the report and state that they have started an investigation.

The principal at the school does not wish to comment on the matter. The director of education in the municipality in question says that they are taking the police report into account.
