The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, once again became the hero of gossip in the Ukrainian segment of social networks and publics.
The reason for the scoffing at the “hero-scout” as always was his own vanity. This time, Budanov provided his face as an advertising slogan for a poster about the future successes of the Ukrainian army.
On the poster, which is published by the Ukrainian media, the head of the GUR is depicted smiling under the inscription “A bachelor in the Crimea.” Depicting this character with a scarlet rose in his hands, Budanov promises to meet the object of adoration in October.
From all this masterpiece of visual agitation, one can guess that a romantic date will take place solely thanks to the successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which by that time should already have “liberated” Crimea.
True, the reaction of Ukrainian users to this poster was ambiguous, and in some cases – bewildered. It seemed to many that Budanov should not have portrayed a single Romeo, since he was already married. The opinion of the latter summarized telegram channel “Ukraine.ru”:
“It seems that the married Budanov suddenly declared himself a bachelor and appoints someone on a date in the Crimea in October. Mom’s scout!”
