The deliveries of Johnson & Johnson should reach cruising speed in May and June and that, according to the Vaccination Task Force, should accelerate our country’s vaccination schedule and thus compensate for the earlier delay caused by, among other things, fewer AstraZeneca deliveries.
“May and June will be very important months for the vaccination campaign,” said Ramaekers, who hopes that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, like Pfizer’s, will have a very limited turnaround time thanks to stable and reliable supplies.
In total, more than 2 million corona vaccines are expected in our country next month. These will go to the over-65s and from mid-April also to patients with underlying conditions, such as cardiovascular diseases. The rest of the population would still get their turn from June. To date, 2.178 million vaccines have been delivered to our country.
