GenPI.co East Java – The head of the community unit (RW) in Madiun City should smile widely. The city government disbursed Rp 9 million to prevent the spread of dengue fever.
Mayor of Madiun Maidi hopes that the funds will be used for community service to clean up the residents’ environment and eradicate mosquito nests that spread dengue fever.
“We give a budget of Rp. 9 million per RW to clean up the environment. If it is multiplied by 267 RW in Madiun City, the total reaches Rp. 2.4 billion,” said Maidi, Saturday (5/2).

He asked every RW to do community service, starting from cleaning waterways, yards, and places that are mosquito habitats.
“Environmental normalization is also part of creating a healthy environment,” he said.
Maidi reminded all village heads to monitor and pay attention to residents affected by dengue fever.

“The case of dengue fever is in which urban village, the lurah must know and participate in monitoring until the hospital,” he said.
Madiun City Hospital data during January 2022 recorded that it had treated 125 dengue fever patients. All of them are pediatric patients.

A total of 24 patients, of the total are residents of Madiun City. The rest are residents of Madiun Regency. (ant)
