Head of Roche Latvija appointed to the board of American Chamber of Commerce

The head of SIA “Roche Latvija” Rauls Vēliņš has been appointed to the board of the American Chamber of Commerce (“AmCham”), LETA agency is informed by “AmCham”.

Thus, Dita Erna Sīle, Head of Corporate Relations and Patient Access of “Novartis Baltics” Baltics, who left her position on April 26, is no longer working on the board of the organization.

Vēliņš will start performing the duties of the board member of “AmCham” immediately and will hold this position until March 2024.

Along with Vēliņas, the board member of the “Nasdaq Riga” stock exchange, Liene Dubava, head of issuer services department of the Baltic Stock Exchange, individual members of “AmCham” Roberts Melbārdis and Pauls Miklaševičs, director of Riga University of Law Ieva Rācenāja, associate partner of “Ellex Kļaviņš” work on the board of “AmCham”. Sarmis Spilbergs, “Mikrotīkls” board chairman Johns Martins Tallijs, “AmCham” executive director Līga Smildziņa-Bērtulsone and head of “Luminor Bank” Kerli Varesa in Latvia.

“AmCham” represents more than 140 companies. The goals of “AmCham” are to promote and strengthen trade, investment, partnership and friendship between the USA and Latvia, as well as to serve as an opinion, knowledge exchange and contact platform for members, partners and representatives of the international business community in Latvia.
