Head of Indonesian Delegation for G20 meeting in Italy reported Italia tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). 6 other Indonesian representatives are currently in self-isolation.
As reported by AFP, Wednesday (23/6/2021), the Head of the Indonesian Delegation was due to attend the G20 ministerial-level talks in Sicily, Tuesday (22/6) yesterday. However, the Head of the Indonesian Delegation tested positive for Corona on Monday (21/6) yesterday.
The head of the Indonesian delegation had actually undergone a test before leaving Indonesia and the results were negative. However, after leaving Indonesia, he tested positive for COVID-19.
Meanwhile, local health officials said six other people in the Indonesian delegation had been placed in preventive isolation. They were directed to self-isolate at a hotel in the Sicilian city of Catania.
The meeting between countries in the G20 is actually planned to take place on Tuesday (22/6) and Wednesday (23/6). The event will bring together officials in the fields of employment, economy, and education.
Italy itself was hit by the Corona virus pandemic. However, in recent months there has been a sharp decline in COVID-19 cases in the country.
Italy itself has now removed almost all restrictions. The use of masks will no longer even be mandatory outdoors starting June 28, 2021.
