Strong faith
Faith was the foundation of Pope Benedict XVI. He believed in men as much as he believed in God. Colleagues were given more opportunities. Realizing that lack of faith is the cause of many problems in the world, he has requested that the year of his pontificate be observed as a year of faith.
reading
He had a large collection of books. He pointed to the stacked books as he spoke or if anyone approached him with doubts. He would memorize exactly what he wanted from thousands of books. A major concern of the Vatican after he became Pope was where to put this collection of books. It took 3 rooms in the Pope’s residence to store so many books.
Dad in the pens
There is always a pencil in the Pope’s office. He used to remind his colleagues or employees of writing errors by putting a small question mark in the margin with a pencil.
Sweet and fun
He was very fond of sweets and cakes. But he was moderate in eating it. He listened with interest to simple jokes, music and anecdotes.
