Head of DKI Jakarta Parekraf Office Cucu Ahmad Dies of Heart Disease

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Head of the DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Parekraf), Ahmad Kurnia’s grandson died because of heart disease.

The grandson was declared dead on Thursday (13/8/2020) at 16.55 WIB at the Cempaka Putih Islamic Hospital, Central Jakarta.

Secretary of the Jakarta Parekraf Service, Gumilar Ekalaya, emphasized that Cucu died not because of Covid-19.

“Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun. True, Mr. Cucu died. There was once a complaint of shortness of breath, so an examination was carried out. swab to anticipate and confirm symptoms, “said Gumilar in his statement, Thursday.

But the result swab that came out Wednesday (12/8/2020) night showed negative results.

“Earlier, I got information that Mr. Cucu plans to move from the isolation room to the normal care room because it is not Covid-19. But this afternoon there is sad news,” he explained.

Grandchildren have been treated since Saturday (8/8/2020) with complaints of shortness of breath.

The body was taken to the funeral home in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta and it is planned to be buried at the Bivouac Rubber Cemetery, Central Jakarta.

It is known that Cucu was appointed as Head of the Jakarta Parekraf Service by DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan on January 8, 2020.

Before becoming Head of the Department, Cucu served as Head of the Thousand Islands Tourism Office.

Cucu is also known to have been elected as Jakarta’s Abang in 1995.
