JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the Director of the Engineering Department, the incumbent is responsible for the management of human, material and financial resources under the wastewater treatment division. He coordinates all the operations linked to the operation of the wastewater treatment plant. The incumbent sees to managing several projects simultaneously, including design supervision, production of execution plans and execution while acting as a consultant for the management of the Engineering Department as well as the municipality.
He is also required to define strategies in order to optimize the activities related to his division while implementing continuous improvement processes. It coordinates the maintenance and development of wastewater treatment infrastructure in order to achieve municipal objectives. He determines the orientations and objectives of the division while contributing to those of the Service.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

- Hold a college diploma in water purification;
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the management of the operation and maintenance of a water purification station and / or a wastewater treatment station, in a unionized environment;
- Have knowledge of the municipal world and government services;
- Hold an Emploi Québec qualification certificate (complete surface or groundwater treatment and distribution network);
- Hold an Emploi Québec qualification certificate (wastewater treatment by mechanized plant);
- Have excellent knowledge of process equipment;
- Hold a valid driver’s license;
- Master the computer work environment (Microsoft Office and other software).
