Head of BKN Explains the Reason for Questioning the Qur’an or Pancasila

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Head of the National Civil Service (BKN) Bima Haria Wibisana said that the participants of the national insight test (TWK) who were asked the question chose Pancasila or the Koran from the assessors because the results of the state moderation index (IMB-68) and their profiling were poor.

“This is actually a tough question. If someone is asked by an assessor to choose the Koran or Pancasila, he is in the heavy category,” he said in Jakarta, Saturday (19/6) quoted from Among.

He said the question was used by assessors because the question was most often used by terrorists to recruit potential terrorists.

Thus, the assessors will see the responses of the participants of the national insight test who were asked about choosing Pancasila or the Koran.

If someone has a limited understanding of religion or Pancasila, they will quickly answer religion. However, if the participant has a better understanding of religion, he will be confused because in religion there are elements of Pancasila and Pancasila also does not conflict with religion.

“So this confusion is what the assessor catches until he knows what level someone is at,” said Bima.

Therefore, Bima emphasized that the meaning of the question of choosing Pancasila or the Koran in the national insight test was not really a matter of Pancasila or religion, but rather to see the responses of the participants.

“It should be noted that what assessors really want to see is the response to the question, not the answer,” he said.
