The collective fall that ended Lotte Kopecky’s hopes also ended Sanne Cant’s Paris-Roubaix (Fenix-Deceuninck) on Saturday. The cyclo-cross specialist sustained an open head injury.
Cant, who was having an excellent race at the time, had to retire due to a head haemorrhage and was transferred to Lille hospital for treatment.
