Nicaragua president Daniel Ortega has been submerged for weeks since the onset of the Corona crisis, sparking speculation about his health. Most recently, the 74-year-old, who had ruled for 24 years from the past 41 years, was seen at a video conference with other Central American presidents about a month ago. Two days ago he suddenly reappeared and confirmed in a TV speech that Nicaragua will continue its special path in the corona crisis. There were no explanations for his strikingly long absence.
Initiate prescribed restrictions? No trace: Thousands of Nicaraguans are closed Easter traveled to seaside resorts or participated in festivals.
