The chairman of SC Holz Pfeifer Kundl, Reinhold Ebenbichler and all amateur football in Tyrol and Austria, hopes that on May 15th there will be something like a training company again. There is a message from the President of the Tyrolean Football Association, Dr. Josef Geisler. In Kundl, the contract with the trainer team around Roger Kühmaier and team was extended for another year. From the beginning of May, it could be possible to restart the canceled championship of the Tirol Liga in autumn 2020. Nobody even wants to think about a horror scenario under house football until 2021.
Trainer contracts in Kundl extended
Reinhold Ebenbichler, Chairman SC Holz Pfeifer Kundl: “Nobody can say exactly what will happen to football in the near future, but the course must still be set for the future. This has been done by those responsible for SC Pfeifer Holz Kundl in the last few days, and the contracts with coach Roger Kühmaier, assistant coach Richard Hackl and goalie coach Andreas Würtenberger have been extended for another year. When and in what form the KM I training can be resumed will be decided in the next few days! “

After there are again and again – regarding the most different areas of life – regulations of the Austrian federal government regarding easing of the measures taken to combat the spread of COVID-19, I feel compelled to comment briefly on the regulation published on April 30th, 2020 Section 8 regulates, among other things, the entry into sports facilities. This regulation, which has been in effect since May 1st, 2020, is unfortunately NOT applicable to football, because football is not a sport in which a 2-meter distance between all athletes is typical of the sport when exercising.
However, it can be assumed that a further regulation will be enacted for the period from May 15, 2020, especially since Vice Chancellor and Minister of Sport Werner KOGLER has announced the opening of sports facilities to OUR sport under certain conditions. However, because it would be unrealistic to assume that this regulation will allow training to continue unrestrictedly, the ÖFB, under the direction of Sport Director Peter SCHÖTTEL and with the participation of section head Philipp TRATTNER, will try to develop useful recommendations for action for the clubs, which will then be brought to the clubs’ attention will. These recommendations for action must, of course, be in line with the corresponding official regulation, because football, too, has to be directed “without ifs and buts” to the official requirements.
In this context, however, I would like to admit that I too – especially in view of the very gratifying figures on the COVID-19 virus in Austria (number of cases, curves and the like) presented to us over and over again – are becoming more and more impatient and in terms of the appropriateness of the prescribed Measures, especially regarding our sport, are beginning to have doubts. I cannot and do not want to imagine that organized football as we all know and like it and that for me it represents a very important social “reception room” until the development of an effective vaccine or medication is supposed to have PAUSE.
Information on the financial support of the clubs is provided continuously via “sportaustria” (formerly BSO), which is in constant communication with the federal government and the ÖFB. This information will be forwarded to you without exception. If you have any questions in this connection, the two employees in the “Alex” and “Gogo” offices are also happy to help.
However, the TFV also wants to relieve its clubs financially, if possible, and we will announce the measures to be decided in this context in good time.
Coming soon will also be concrete information on the so-called “Corona PRAE”, which will make handling easier for the clubs – albeit for a limited time – especially since it will not only focus on training and competitions and the associated travel activities.
In any case, we are preparing in the association for a start of the championship in late summer / autumn 2020 and will make the necessary decisions in the presidium and will therefore be well prepared as soon as the authorities give us the “green light”.
I thank you again for your understanding and I can assure you that I will do everything in my power to ensure that the ball will roll again as soon as possible as we all want.
With sporty regards
