He3da started the factory. However, she postponed the sharp start of production until the beginning of next year

“We are starting to produce. Until the end of the year, we are running in trial production mode plus the integration of those devices into containers and others, “said Václav Binar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of MES. The company is completing the development and is also starting the production of the necessary electronic components.

“The plan is that by the end of the year we will have all the final products completed and from the New Year we will start commercial production and deliveries of finished products, because it is not just the battery, but the whole system,” said Binar. According to the original plan, however, sharp traffic was planned for the autumn of 2019.

According to Binar, the plant will start producing battery cells with a capacity of one and two kilowatt hours intended for energy in all possible uses. “In the first phase, our production capacity will be 200 megawatt-hours per year and we will produce small 15-watt storage units intended for households. The second line is big energy, containers from 500 kilowatt hours up, “said Binar.

Over the next year, the company wants to increase capacity to 1.2 gigawatt-hours and in the following years to 15 gigawatt-hours. According to Binar, 1,200 to 1,500 people should work in the area.

Investors are growing every week, says battery manufacturer HE3DA

According to MES, 300 almost exclusively Czech investors, associated by Battery Unite, participated in financing the project. “Our investors are individuals, legal entities and municipalities, dioceses, celebrities,” said Miroslava Masaříková, co-owner and sales director of Battery Unite.

According to her, investors from all over the world should participate in the next phase of the project. According to the SeznamZprávy website, the company should also cooperate, for example, with Veolia. “We have a contract with her to distribute our batteries in their worldwide sales network,” Prus said. On the other hand, several companies have already terminated their cooperation with He3da. These are, for example, the Avant fund or the Fenix electrical engineering group.
