Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Old Trafford on his last summer transfer. But not only has the star been unable to play in his old form, Ronaldo has been the cause of most of United’s problems in recent seasons. His recent behavior on and off the pitch has raised concerns about the star’s future at United.

Former Manchester United star and football pundit Gary Neville has been the most outspoken on the club’s recent decline. The player has been heavily critical of United for suffering miserable defeats on several occasions this season. Neville previously stated that keeping Ronaldo would lead to the club’s decline and that he should be removed from United as soon as possible.

But Gary Neville now says Cristiano Ronaldo will stay at United and no other club will come forward to buy him. Neville added that Ronaldo tried to leave the club, but clubs like Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid refused to accept him.

“I think Ronaldo will end his career like all the others. He will be for United. He will stay here without being bought by anyone. Even then, he will have no chance to play again. His time has passed. I understand that Ronaldo himself is leaving. “He’s realizing his limitations and he’s coming together,” said Gary Neville.

Meanwhile, Neville hasn’t forgotten to praise Manchester United manager Erik ten Haag. He added that keeping Ronaldo on the bench was a wise decision and that the manager had a clear understanding of the seriousness of the game.
