He was worked as a slave and forced his workers into rape by a man in Nógrád

The Nógrád County Prosecutor’s Office has indicted a 22-year-old man from Salgótarján who detained and employed workers in inhumane conditions on charges of human trafficking and other serious crimes.

Between 2018 and 2020, he invited vulnerable people around the house and to construction work on his property in Dorogháza, promising them that they would get paid, accommodation and food in return. According to the prosecutor’s office, he not only recruited people, but it was that he bought a man under guardianship from someone for 70,000 forints, whom he also worked for.

He was accommodated in the summer kitchen or in a dysfunctional car in the yard, barely given food, and could not use the bathroom and toilet in the house. The estate could only be left with the permission of the accused, and if anyone broke this, the man tied his hands back and tied him with a chain.

The prosecution said in a statement that “when the accused was unable to sleep under the influence of mind-altering drugs, he woke up one of the victims and forced him to spend the night with him” and also persuaded a woman to live with him. The defendant, according to the statement, forced several of his employees to rape this woman.

The man also bought cars on behalf of the people he worked for so that he would not have to pay property acquisition tax.

Some of the people were finally able to escape, and the man was then prosecuted. The Nógrád County Attorney General’s Office accuses him of human trafficking, crimes against sexual morality, violation of personal liberty and forgery of public documents.
