Kamil Šír, the producer and soul of Lucerna Music Bar, died at the age of only fifty-one. „Our Kamil died suddenly yesterday. An extraordinary person with a big heart and open arms. He loved music and promotion was his passion and mission in life. He was the soul of Lucerna Music Bar. He organized the unique Rock for Churchill festival in Vroutek and concerts from clubs to halls,” she said Facebook Lantern.
“He left, but he was enough to become a dad. Kamčo, friend, it was a ride with you and we thank you very much that we could be a part of it. Have a great time there” it was still in the post. Headliner reported that Šír became a new father a week ago.
Crushed friends
The music scene is devastated by Šíro’s sudden departure. “Sincere condolences,” wrote the singer Lenka Dusilová. “This hurts, Kamil. Mooch. Hang in there our friend, we will miss you terribly here, we are speechless. There’s no point in thanking you, you knew what you meant to us.” the Krucipüsk band credited.
“My best friend, the biggest dude, the embodiment of kindness and wisdom, Kamil Šír, has passed away. In 2006, we started working together on the music scene – he was building Lucerna Music Bar and Rock for Churchill, and I was building the band Navigators. Over the years, no matter what we did, we never moved away from each other. What he was able to do for culture in Prague recently, no one had been able to do before. Many people don’t even know what an amazing dude he was, because thanks to his natural modesty, he never felt the need to talk about his achievements. Only time can heal this wound. Rest in peace my friend,” he wrote on Facebook Tomáš Konupka.
