Maj. Gen. (resp.) Adam Bismuth, 35, from Karni Shomron, who fell yesterday (Monday) in a disaster in the center of the Gaza Strip along with 20 other reservists, did everything to prevent disasters. He founded and was the CEO of the start-up company SightBit, which developed a camera that helps rescuers see activities and signs of distress in the water from a long distance, thereby saving lives.
The late Adam was an integral part of the high-tech community in the Negev. He led his company to impressive achievements and for years initiated, led and promoted countless ventures and projects in the Negev. A graduate of Tech7’s magnet program, part of the InNegev incubator and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. “He was an inspiring, determined and smart man who was on his way to conquer the world,” his friends in the entrepreneurial community in the south paid tribute to him.
Tributes were also paid to him in the Samaria Rays Council. “The eternal child of the gardens of Samaria, his kindness illuminated his surroundings, loved and loved who fought for the defense of the Land of Israel,” they wrote about him, and asked to comfort his family members: “There is no consolation except that we will be worthy of you, and to all the soldiers who fight for the continuation of our lives here in the only land of The Jewish people. We as a community will wrap, help and hug. We are there for the family and will continue to accompany them.”
The late Bismuth was active in the world of entrepreneurship but also knew how to harness his abilities in this field for social action. As a resident of Be’er Sheva in recent years, he managed the incubator for leadership and entrepreneurship at the organization “Kochavi Hamdbar”, which trains a generation of young Bedouin leaders. “Dear Adam, thank you for The right to work by your side. Thank you for the warm smile, the faith in the way, the laughs and the commitment to the mission. We will continue on your path and continue to grow a new generation of Bedouin leadership in the Negev,” the organization paid tribute to him.
