“Denver Clan” star Geoffrey Scott is dead

Fans of the “Denver Clan” will remember him. After all, Mark Jennings was none other than Krystle Carrington’s ex-husband! He was portrayed by Geoffrey Scott. The actor has now died at the age of 79.
“The Denver Clan”? So what is that? Younger readers who belong to the generation of “Game of Thrones” and “Bridgerton” probably shrug their shoulders helplessly. But anyone who consciously witnessed the 1980s couldn’t get past the series any more than “Dallas”.

From 1981 to 1989, for nine seasons and 218 episodes, everything revolved around money, sex, lies and intrigue. In the middle of it all, the oh so in love couple Blake (John Forsythe) and Krystle Carrington (Linda Evans). But the two definitely had a history. The “beast” Alexis played by Joan Collins was Blake’s ex-wife. And Krystle had already had a marriage – with tennis professional Mark Jennings.
That same Mark Jennings was played by actor Geoffrey Scott in 45 episodes from 1982 to 1985. Now the actor has succumbed to Parkinson’s disease in Broomfield, Colorado. His wife Cheri Catherine Scott confirmed this to the industry magazine “The Hollywood Reporter”. Accordingly, the actor died on February 23 – one day after his 79th birthday.
45 years in show business
Apart from his role in the “Denver Clan”, Scott also worked on various other TV formats, including the series “Dark Shadows”, “Love Boat” and “General Hospital”. After 45 years in show business, he finally retired and settled in Colorado with his family. In addition to his wife, Scott has twin sons, Christopher and Matthew.
Incidentally, his successor at Krystle Carrington’s side in the “Denver Clan” has not been with us for a long time. Forsythe died in 2010 at the age of 92. The famous women from the series, on the other hand, are still jolly. Evans celebrated her 78th birthday in November. Collins turns 88 in May.
