“It took my heart, it took my voice. And that happens when you like something,” reads the beginning of this year’s megahit, in which its author – an artist whose full name is Adam Rohony – confesses his great sympathy for the football club AC Sparta Prague. But the fan is so passionate that the support of his beloved club took away a piece of his health, at least for a while.
What happened to Rohony
Rohony suffered a serious injury while watching a recent match on TV. Back then, Sparta was fighting for promotion to the elite competition called the Champions League in a match against Malmö FF.
Rohons must now wear a special collar:
“When Malmö didn’t give a penalty against Sparta, I ran with joy and jumped a dart into the pool. Like a dart without hands. This is called a sailor,” Rohony described the situation on his TikTok account.
But he greatly underestimated the depth of the pool and crashed. “I pretty much scraped the bottom with that head. My head was spinning. I thought I just stumbled upon it. But then I went to the hospital with it just to be sure,” he added.
There it turned out that he had broken two cervical vertebrae, the first and the last. Fortunately, he was able to go home from the hospital on his own after the examination, but he must now take good care of himself, rest and wear a protective neck collar.
There is no doubt that in Rohony’s case it was a very reckless act. A series of jumps similar to the one he decided to take ended tragically for others.
How Rohony’s recovery is going
As part of the treatment, Rohony definitely does not sit at home.

“I couldn’t take it anymore,” he posted on his TikTok account a few days ago in a pub video of himself drinking from a pint of beer. He then aptly named the video “as if it were the first time”. Likewise, Rohony was shown playing golf on the indoor course.
His recovery is apparently going well, so he will hopefully be able to “sing first, sing on Letný, where he likes it, where he already belongs” this year, as it also sounds in his hit.
