He was afraid that he would look lewd in the role of a woman. Another “soda” was given to Langmajer by the coach

Jiří Langmajer was worried that he would appear “lewd” as a woman. For his role in the film What Men Desire 2, he used the advice of a coach. “She pointed out to me within the first second that the way I imagine a woman behaves is completely wrong,” said Dvojka in an interview with Czech Radio. Why did his back hurt because of the female role and why did Anna Polivková have a problem “not being a man”? You will find out in Stories from the Square.

In the first part, the main character Karel Král found himself in a woman’s body. In the second, Anna Polívková as Irena Kopáčová wakes up because of a wish she made in front of a witch in a man’s body – and she is portrayed by Jiří Langmajer. “At the beginning, we didn’t think about the pair at all, we didn’t even know that the film could have the kind of audience success it did, so the sequel actually came about rather organically. I enjoy making comedies and I enjoy when people laugh in the cinema, that is the best reward. I think how many times it is more difficult than doing artistic things,” said the film’s director, Rudolf Havlík.

Unlike the first film, Polívková only appears briefly in the sequel. “During the filming, I realized that I also have to concentrate quite a bit to act more feminine than usual, and that maybe I should cultivate it more in my private life. Jirka actually wanted me to coach him a bit, which made me laugh a lot “Jirka eventually had his own coach and I only sometimes guided him a little… but at least,” explained the actress.

At that time, Langmajer and Polívková spent the whole summer filming the series Špunti en cesta. “So, in total, we spent almost half a year together. For those three or four months, I looked at Anička in such a strange way, and she asked me: ‘Why are you always looking at me like that?’ And I said to her: ‘Well, that’s because I’m actually going to play you.’ However, it’s not about imitating each other, that’s not the main joke, so I’m not trying to imitate Anička’s facial expressions at all costs, but I’m trying to behave at least a little in my male body so that people think: Ah, so maybe there is a cursed woman in this body,” concluded the actor.

Arguing? First the loser. But one scene “broke the internet” and the film became a hit
