A continuous fight between the players for the second consecutive match
Manchester United’s match against Aston Villa saw a renewed clash between United defender Lisandro Martinez and Villa winger Leon Bailey, following his start in the league match.
The match between the two league teams, which ended 3-1 in favor of Villa at home, saw an “elbow” from Martinez in Billy’s chest, but the referee and the video technology did not intervene, and the Argentine was been not expelled.
Thursday’s match in the Carabao Cup, won 4-2 by United, renewed the fight between the two, but this time the Jamaican attacked the United defender and tried to hit him in the knee.
The shot angered United fans over the player’s behavior, which nearly cost Martinez a serious injury that could keep him away from the World Cup with his nation, as they say, and described him as a hypocrite for his own statements on the right to arbitration.
Billy left after the championship meeting and attacked the referee because of Martinez’s elbow, which caused him to stop breathing for a moment, according to a tweet posted on his Twitter account.
