Do you remember when we showed you what Skyrim looked like with 2,000 mods and a size of almost 400 GB? We said it looked like a totally new game because it almost was: the mod pack improves the graphics, adds a lot of content and even redesigns the interface and combat system.
Later, a content creator put his RTX 4090 on the ropes to make a real remaster of Skyrim with more than 1,000 mods, which turned it into a video game that truly looks like a current one… or better. The author is called Digital Dreams and his video can only be classified as an indescribable wonder. Additionally, he used the Crucible sword from DOOM Eternal.
What happens behind the scenes? As a summary, Digital Dreams took the Special Edition of Skyrim and installed Raytrace Global Illumination (ReShade), more than 1,000 mods and an ENB preset, a function that adds a multitude of improvements and functions to titles that do not include them as a base. In other words, a lot of modifications that turn this 13-year-old classic into a marvel that has nothing to envy of current games.
This result is not only achieved with an RTX 4090, it has also required the power of a Ryzen 9 7950 processor. We are talking about components to take into account and a PC that is not exactly cheap. Surely any fan of The Elder Scrolls I would be delighted to be able to play this enhanced version of Skyrim. Us of course!
