Ammon – A Russian driver started a huge fire at a gas station because he thought it was a good idea to try to find the gas cap using a lighter.
Surveillance camera footage from Sredneuralsk station in the Sverdlovsk region of Russia shows the driver using a lighter while searching for a gasoline cap, which led to an instant fire.
Then he quickly evacuated the passengers from his car.
The man then tried to move his car away from the pump, which also caught fire at this point.
Local reports state that the man then stopped the car and gas station employees used fire extinguishers to put out the flames.
They also attempted to shovel sand to extinguish the fire, which was extinguished by the time emergency services arrived, according to Metro.
