A 50-year-old man destroyed the cars of two of his neighbors with an ax because he thought he was being watched by hidden cameras installed in his house in Stavroupoli, Thessaloniki.
According to the case file, the incident occurred on September 7, when the man rammed his neighbor’s car, which was parked under the apartment building, with his car. Then, holding an axe, with a total length of 36 cm, he began to destroy the I.X. of his neighbor and his son.
According to information, the 63-year-old man and his 39-year-old son heard the commotion and went out to the balcony of the apartment to see what was happening. Surprised, they saw their neighbor destroying their cars with an ax and started shouting at him to stop.
He had obsessions
Father and son notified the Police, however, before the police arrived and handcuffed the 50-year-old, he moved with the ax towards the apartment building and caused damage to the front door and the ground floor area, in his attempt to get into their apartment.
After his arrest and the prosecution brought against him by the public prosecutor, the case was entered and will be tried at the Single-member Misdemeanor Court of Thessaloniki at the beginning of October. The 50-year-old had been dealing with psychological problems for years and recently, however, he had obsessions.
