It’s a story that was shared overwhelmingly on the social network Twitter. In a series of widely relayed messages, the brother of a 16-year-old teenager said that his younger brother had been the victim of “kidnapping attempt“, in a parking lot in Dijon, Thursday evening June 24. The victim lodged a complaint and an investigation was opened.
While his brother was skateboarding, an individual parked nearby approached him, said the tweet. This man had already been seen for several days at this place. He asked him “do you skateboard?“before questioning him to find out if he has”a girlfriend“and run:”if you have any concerns, you can tell me“.
“Flagrance investigation” in progress
The individual then grabs the teenager’s arm, who manages to free himself and flee. The victim went to file a complaint the next day at the Dijon police station, accompanied by his mother and brother. The latter has since withdrawn his tweets.
“An investigation of flagrance is well underway, under the direction of the prosecutor of Dijon“, said prosecutor Eric Mathais. “In particular, the video-protection images that may be available are currently being used.“, he added.
According to France Burgundy Blue, the police opened an investigation for willful violence against a minor, explaining not to have “Enough evidence, for the time being, for an investigation into attempted kidnapping“.
