SUZZARA (Riva). Another fatal accident, over ten days, in Suzzara. On the evening of May 2, in Strada Cavallara, in the hamlet of Riva, he died Michel Vezzani, 46, resident of Gonzaga. The crash occurred around 6pm.
The man, aboard his Volkswagen Polo, in facing a sharp bend went off the road, ending up in a ditch and then hit the fence of a house with his left side. The window was open: in the skid, Vezzani violently banged his head against the wire mesh, dying instantly.
The accident was witnessed by several witnesses who immediately called 118. An ambulance from the Soccorso Azzurro, the automedica from Mantua, the firefighters of Suzzara and other means arrived on the spot. The rescuers had to work hard to free the man’s body from the passenger compartment of the car. The surveys were carried out by the carabinieri of Suzzara.
The body, under power of attorney, was recovered by the Pedroni funeral home and transferred to the morgue of the Montecchi di Suzzara hospital, at the disposal of the magistrate who is following the case.
According to some witnesses, the car driven by Vezzani came from the Po floodplain and was heading towards the intersection with via Sabbadini, in the hamlet of Riva. The 46-year-old was probably on his way home after spending the afternoon on the river bank, which he was a huge fan of.
Lover of nature, Michel, and also of Indian culture. On his Facebook profile there are numerous photographs of the Great River, with glimpses and sunsets, and of travels abroad. Vezzani, who was not married, had worked for a few years in the Pavarini Arredamenti furniture factory in Gonzaga. And he was currently awaiting a new occupation.
The dynamics of the accident are still being reconstructed. It is not excluded that the 46-year-old may have become distracted or have had an illness. There are no skid marks on the asphalt and, according to some witnesses, the car was traveling at a moderate speed. Shortly after the collision, Vezzani’s family members also arrived, informed of the tragic accident by the health personnel.
Strada Cavallara was interrupted for several hours. Many people, accustomed to jogging or walking along the river banks, had to extend their walk, while motorists had to cross the village of Riva. Small inconveniences. Nothing compared to the great, definitive pain of Michel’s family and circle of affections, who died just when he was waiting to take back his future.
