Prince Jackson (23) was just twelve years old when his father Michael Jackson died of an anesthetic overdose in 2009. Nevertheless, he was able to learn important things for life from the “King of Pop” as a young boy, as Prince reported on the British TV program “This Morning”.

“He wanted us to be the best at what we do,” said Prince Jackson on This Morning. For him, his father’s words were always “a form of motivation and inspiration” that he has internalized to this day. “I feel like the older I get, the more I can understand the wisdom he has left and all the experiences he has given us,” said Prince Jackson.

In their childhood, he and his siblings Paris (22) and Blanket Jackson (18) would often hear from their father: “This is great, but what’s next? How can we make it bigger or better?” The 23-year-old would still be asking himself these questions today, be it in relation to his charity work or his existence as a music video producer. “If one year has been fantastic, the next year must be incredible,” he said.
