He spent over 300 hours mapping Bordeaux!

Nicolas Coury, a passionate architect and photographer, offers you a real immersion in the soul of Bordeaux through his illustrated map. But be careful, this is no ordinary card. Behind every feature, there is a piece of history, a memory, an emotion.

A personal and artistic adventure

Nicolas Coury knows Bordeaux by heart. After doing a map of Strasbourghe wanted to deal with a city dear to his heart: Bordeaux, where he lived for several years. For him, drawing this map was much more than a graphic project, it was an opportunity to put his memories and the energy of this vibrant city down on paper.

The photographer was not content to represent the iconic buildings, he wanted to Download Bordeaux atmospherethose little moments of everyday life that make the city rich. Joggers on the quays, people passing by on Rue Sainte-Catherine, or even the famous flies of Saint-Michel: each scene makes this map a real living fresco. A big job to draw all of Bordeaux

This project was not born overnight. Nicholas passed more than 300 hours to draw every detail, every street, every building with incredible precision. His goal? Pay homage to the architecture of Bordeaux and the life that happens there every day. This is how he was able to capture the interaction between the inhabitants and the environment, transforming his map into a real ode to the city.

But beyond the buildings, it is the special atmosphere of Bordeaux that is at the heart of this work. The quays that are always lively, the lively markets of Saint-Michel, the squares where the people of Bordeaux meet: everything is there to remind you how lively this city is. Nicolas Coury was not satisfied with making a simple picture, he highlighted the close relationship that each resident has with the places that surround him.

From photo to print

For his project to come to life, Nicolas did not work alone. He surrounded himself with talents to offer work of exceptional quality. Jean-Loup, professional printercard printing supported. With its large format of 50 x 70 cm, printed on matte paper 230g/m²the map is a true work of art to hang proudly. Using the giclée printing technique, colors and details are faithfully reproduced without shadows, ensuring incredible longevity.

And to enhance everything, the photographer Pascale Sablonnières created the cover image, perfectly capturing the essence of Nicolas’ work and giving a final look to this special work.
