Gergely Christmas mayor on Monday at the Pro Urbe Budapest award Géza Nagy Káli. The award was presented by the capital’s general assembly to Kali for his role and scientific activity in developing the flask baby program into an internationally recognized national institutional system.
The professor founded the Kaali Institute in Budapest in 1992 and then developed it into a national network. As a result of their infertility treatments, nearly 30,000 children were born. Kaali also has a number of U.S. patents that make endoscopic surgeries safer.
His institutes in Kali were bought out by the government a year and a half ago. This state-owned acquisition was the first and biggest step towards the full “nationalization” of flask clinics, which have so far been largely privately owned.
