he saves a man from drowning before killing him

A 74-year-old man, navigating on a lake, saved a stranger in difficulty. Feeling threatened, the septuagenarian finally shot him.

A 29-year-old man died Tuesday, March 15, of a bullet to the chest. The incident occurred on Lake Keowee, South Carolina when he had just been rescued by an unknown person, reports the Swiss site 20 minutes, relaying a story from the Sun.

Nathan Drew Morgan was in trouble in the water, along with his girlfriend. Both weren’t wearing life jackets and their jet skis were circling around them.

A 74-year-old man who was sailing with his wife then came to their rescue but Nathan Drew Morgan started arguing with him and attempted to physically attack him. To calm the situation, his girlfriend pushed him into the water.

“In self-defense”

Getting back on board, Nathan Drew Morgan was once again aggressive. The septuagenarian took out his gun and shot him in the chest, explaining to the investigators that he feared for his life and that of his wife.

Last Friday, authorities announced he would not be prosecuted because he “clearly acted in self-defense.”

The circumstances of the tragedy must be clarified and the results of the autopsy will be able to establish whether, as the investigators believe, the victim was drunk at the time of the events.
