According to JTBC’s ‘Case Manager’ on the 24th, YouTuber ‘Lerico’ traveled to the Leh region of India, which is famous for its hiking courses, last month. He has traveled to India three times in total.
Lerico, who was planning to take the bus to Leh, heard that buses only run for two months a year, so he went on the road on his bicycle.
The distance to the destination was 450km, and he rode his bicycle 10 hours a day.
When my stamina was almost completely depleted, a truck stopped in front of Lerico. Local men who got off the truck asked, “How far are we going?” “I’ll give you a ride in the car,” he offered.
With only 10km left to his destination, Lerico got into the truck with the intention of just getting a ride for 20 to 30 minutes. He was tired and fell asleep, but when he opened his eyes, he found himself in a desert completely far from his destination.
The friendly locals suddenly changed their mind and demanded money, threatening them with sticks. They also tried to take away my cell phone and camera, and even gave me an unknown drug.
Lerico said, “(the kidnappers) gave me drugs twice. One time, I decided to eat it and hid it in my hand, and 30 to 40 minutes later, they gave me another medicine. “This time, I had no choice but to watch what I was eating,” he said “I was unconscious for 5 to 6 hours after taking that medicine.”
It is said that when Lerico was kidnapped, he quickly called an acquaintance and informed them of his location and situation. And after asking them to inform the police, they were able to be released after 30 hours of abduction. He was also robbed of 10,000 rupees (KRW 160,000) in cash in the process.
After that, Lerico went to the police station and reported the kidnappers, but the local police delayed the investigation, saying that it was not under their jurisdiction. on the receivers immediately after Lerico requested a review through a close local.

The kidnappers initially told the police, “It was not a kidnapping, but a trip to the destination in exchange for money. ” However, after the police brutally assaulted him, he confessed to the crime, saying, “It’s true that I robbed him for money and broke the camera.”
Lerico said, “The kidnappers went down and begged for an hour and a half and were severely beaten by the police. The police said, ‘These are poor kids, can’t you just look at them?’ .”
