Banned from the first team

The Blues have reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid for the transfer of Conor Gallagher for 38.7 million euros. But so far, the Englishman refuses to leave and join the Colchoneros, who will not wait forever and could turn to another track.

With Chelsea not counting on him and wanting to replenish their coffers, a departure is not negotiable. The Daily Mail explains that a radical decision has therefore been taken, that of cutting short the player’s holiday and banning him from the first team when he returns next Monday.

With this strategy, Chelsea hope to put pressure on Gallagher and make him accept the transfer that has been negotiated. If this is not the case, he risks spending a season in the shadows without playing, which will make him lose his value and reduce the opportunities to join a big club.
