Adonis Georgiadis (photo) failed to sneak through the regulation for the entry of private doctors into the National Health Service. Whatever made Irini Agapidakis do the dirty work by announcing towards the end of the session the disputed legal improvement (only it was not), the Minister of Health who established new fees did not escape the fire of the minority. Decisive for the withdrawal of the regulation was the placement of Michalis Katrinis. He read to Mr. Georgiadis what the “decagon of good legislation” of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Government foresees in 2020. “Because I know your respect for the Presidency of the Government and the rules of good legislation, to protect you, I tell you to withdraw it because exposes the government as a whole” Mr. Katrinis concluded meaningfully, with Ad. Georgiadis hasten to announce that he is withdrawing the provision in order to file it as an amendment next week. However, it did not go unnoticed that the opposition parties focused on the process and not on the substance. In other words, in the bad legislation and not in the further “disintegration” of the public nature of the National Social Insurance Institution.
