Zapping car news Toyota Corolla Cross (2022): the compact hybrid SUV in video
It’s a dashcam (on-board camera) filming the scene and the poor thing is not going to be as lucky as its owner. Indeed, placed on the top of the windshield, it will still receive a branch when passing under a tree in free fall.
Because yes, in the video that we are going to see, the SUV in question narrowly avoids the fall of a huge tree. The latter visibly collapsed under the weight of the snow on its branches and as a result, it collapsed on a road in Oregon.
Fortunately, no one was injured in this incident and that is already a miracle because given the size of the conifer, there would have been nothing surprising to be found below …
Thank you to @ORStatePolice and the private logging company they found in the traffic queue for their help in quickly removing the tree from the I-5 NB near Wolf Creek yesterday. Had they not been there and willing to assist, the 1.5hr delay would have been much longer. pic.twitter.com/jJER5TojtI

Luckily, a forestry company got stuck in traffic. The employees therefore put their hands together to clear the tree from the road.
Really welcome help from the Oregon Department of Transportation. Without them, this job would have taken a lot more than an hour and a half, that’s for sure.
Some damage all the same
Admittedly, the driver of the SUV is doing very well. He is not injured and his vehicle is almost in good condition. Because yes, the windshield was badly damaged all the same and it is probably the case for other parts of the vehicle. We just don’t have more information.
