DSDS 2020: Dieter Bohlen starts a bet

Okay, Philippe Böhm doesn’t necessarily look like the classic superstar. Visually totally inconspicuous and quite nervous, the 28-year-old steps up to the DSDS jury. And even before he starts the first note, Chief judge Dieter Bohlen sure: “I would bet 1000 euros that you cannot sing.” Great, the bet counts – thinks Xavier Naidoo. After all, Philippe comes from beautiful Mannheim. And “Dr. Ton” just can’t help it: “I have to stick to my Mannheimer.” We show Philippe’s appearance in the video.

DSDS jury experiences a roller coaster of emotions

One thing is for sure: When Philippe starts with the ballad “The A Team” by Ed Sheeran, the jury is amazed. That really sounds anything but wrong. Was the pop titan a little too hasty after all?
In any case, Xavier Naidoo firmly believes in his victory, but then it happens: the second song suddenly lacks any trace of flattering tones. Now the third song has to make the decision. And indeed: With “When You Say Nothing At All” he can convince the jury again – at least if you ask Xavier and Pietro Lombardi.
Thanks to the jury joker Xavier, the shy Philippe sings in the DSDS recall. And Pietro? He does not abandon his “brother heart” Dieter and takes over half of his betting debts. This is called real friendship!
