The Dodge Viper is one of the American myths with a sulphurous reputation. Indeed, the first generation RT/10 presented in this video had the philosophy of the Shelby Cobra. You won’t find any windows, no roof, no ABS and no traction control. The driver seems to have forgotten that this car is unforgiving.
You have to be humble when you drive a Viper, its naturally aspirated 8.0-liter V10 develops 456 horsepower and a truck torque, 665nm. All transmitted to the rear wheels without crazy grade, you have to have clear ideas to drive it. Obviously, the driver of this model was too generous on the right pedal.
During this improvised Fast and Flea-style race, the owner of the Viper lost control in front of an Acura (Honda) Integra, the rear wheels slipped and guided him towards the decor. The lamp post left more than traces on the Viper which could well be declared a wreck. In his misfortune the driver has at least the chance to get out of the car unscathed.
