According to what sources close to Lamjarred confirmed, he is languishing in the “Lasante” prison in Paris, in a solitary cell, and he does not benefit from any special treatment. Rather, he enjoys all the rights granted to him by French law as a prisoner, including heating and television.
The source pointed out that although Saad Lamjarred is placed in a solitary cell, he is allowed to walk daily among the other inmates, and he speaks with his wife and lawyer every day and they visit him regularly.
As for his morale and psychological state, one of those close to him said: “He has not weakened since the verdict was pronounced, but rather he maintained his morale, and he spends his days in prayer and reading the Qur’an, and he is convinced of his innocence, so he is awaiting the appeal stage.”
