The owner of this Lamborghini Huracana Performante Spyder did not enjoy his gem for too long. The driver got behind the wheel of his Italian supercar just 20 minutes before this disaster. This is not the first situation when a newly-baked exotic driver smashes his car. This time, however, the story is a bit more complicated.
He didn’t even manage to press the gas well
The journey of the new owner of Lamborghini lasted only 20 minutes. We guess that he has not even managed to fully check the capabilities of his car. The entire incident occurred on the English M1 motorway. According to the police, the reason for this disaster was the Lambo mechanical failure.
According to West Yorkshire police, Lamborghini suddenly stopped on the highway and was hit by an oncoming van.
The driver of the van suffered a head injury, but his condition is not considered serious.
Lamborghini for scrap metal
At the moment, it is not known what the mechanical failure was. However, it had to be serious enough for the car to stop in the outer lane of the highway. In the pictures, of course, we see damage caused by the impact of the van, but we also see columns protruding above the roof of the Lamborghini.
Drive train failure seems to be the most likely. A locked gearbox and all four wheels could successfully stop Lambo. With this type of breakdown, the driver in the back may not even have had a chance to react, all the more so because in Lambo the brake lights were probably not lit. However, this does not change the fact that all the fault lies with him.
This Huracan is a real monster
Huracan Performante Spyder is a true speed demon. He has a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine under his hood. The unit generates an enormous power of 640 hp and has a torque of 600 Nm. This means it is 35 hp and 42 Nm more powerful than the Huracana Spyder LP610-4.
Like his slightly weaker brother, the car sends all power to all four wheels. This allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.1 seconds. Even at higher speeds, Lambo has stunning results. Its top speed is 321 km / h, while it accelerates to 200 km / h in just 9.3 seconds.
