He spoke of a sort of act of “emancipation”, framing the reasons for the gesture in some way better than in the first interrogation, the 17-year-old questioned today by the prosecutors for minors, after the massacre of Paderno Dugnano. From what has been learned, he has provided a more precise picture of his “discomfort” and his desire to be “free” also from his family, even if he does not “accuse” his parents and brother of specific facts. He will be questioned by the investigating judge on Thursday at 10:30. In the meantime, the Prosecutor’s Office has requested the validation of the arrest and precautionary custody in the Beccaria juvenile prison for homicide aggravated also by premeditation.
“I didn’t think I’d get to the point of killing”
“I was experiencing this discomfort, an existential anguish, but I didn’t think I would end up killing, I can’t explain what happened that night, unfortunately it happened.” These are the words that the 17-year-old, who killed his father, mother and 12-year-old brother in Paderno Dugnano, in the Milan area, repeats to those who are meeting him in these hours in the first reception center of the Beccaria juvenile prison. This morning he received a visit from his trusted lawyer, Amedeo Rizza. “He is shaken, he is becoming aware of what he has done, even if he can’t give himself an explanation,” said the lawyer.
The lawyer, after meeting the boy in the juvenile prison in Milan, explained that the young man is obviously “becoming increasingly aware of what he did”, even if he still can’t give himself an “explanation”. He says that he was experiencing “this discomfort, this anguish”, but that he “never” would have thought that it could lead him “to kill”. It will be necessary to understand, according to the lawyer, also through psychological and psychiatric tests, “what happened in him that evening”.
Meanwhile, today the acting prosecutor for minors in Milan, Sabrina Ditaranto, and the prosecutor Elisa Salatino will forward to the investigating judge the request to validate the arrest and precautionary custody for triple homicide with multiple aggravating factors, including premeditation, and the validation hearing, with questioning before the judge, should be held, according to the defense, “between tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.”
The boy will speak before the judge and, as clarified by the defense, he will have to “reconstruct everything, explain different aspects and try to give an explanation, if he can, if there is an explanation”. Also because in the first interrogation he was obviously “less lucid”, said the defense, while now “he is becoming aware”.
The appointment of a legal guardian has not yet arrived (the 17-year-old is now a minor without parents) and the autopsies have not yet been scheduled.
