He killed his wife and lives at large… A major state protects Ibrahim Al-Ghazal!

The case of the murder of model Zeina Kanjo is back at the forefront again, but this time with a new scandal that the German authorities have kept secret.

Ibrahim Al-Ghazal, who is accused of killing his wife Zina inside her home in Beirut in February 2021, and after the Swedish authorities refused to hand him over to the Lebanese judiciary, he fled again and entered German territory with forged papers, assuming the name Rabih Mishik.

The legal agent for the victim’s family, Zeina Kanjo, lawyer Ashraf Al-Moussawi, revealed a “leaked secret document” from German investigative journalist Ibrahim Naber, stressing that it is “a scandal in the hands of the German judiciary.”

Al-Moussawi pointed out, “The deer’s exit from Lebanon was via Turkey to Europe and then to Sweden. At that time, the Swedish government stopped him and sent a request to the Lebanese judiciary through the Cassation Public Prosecution to amend Article 549 of the Penal Code in order to release him. Of course, we rejected this matter, otherwise Unfortunately, he was released by a Swedish judicial decision, after which he entered German territory through the asylum authorities with a forged secret document bearing the name Rabih Mishik.

He stressed that “the European authorities, specifically the German authorities, refuse to hand him over Al-Ghazal because they object to Article 594 of the Lebanese Penal Code, which punishes anyone who kills intentionally with death,” pointing out that “this is not a justification, because whoever killed his wife with premeditation and design must be handed over to the Lebanese authorities and tried through… Lebanese judiciary.

In a detailed investigative report he prepared and published on the German Welt channel, German investigative journalist Ibrahim Naber exposed Al-Ghazal’s personal file, but “all the data that Naber presented in his report did not move the German authorities to stop Al-Ghazal and take action against him.”

Journalist Naber confirmed that “the files obtained by the German authorities show that they did not know that Rabih Mishik was Ibrahim Al-Ghazal, but they realized that after several months and they believe that it is incorrect to return him again to Lebanon, because they are trying to change something in the case.” However, there is no legal order that she can see to do this at the present time.”

He pointed out that “the German authorities say that the death penalty in Lebanon, which is not actually applied, is the possible reason for not sending him to death, so Ibrahim Al-Ghazal is safe in Germany now,” revealing, according to his information, that “Al-Ghazal is free and is not in prison and is also receiving money from the state.” “.
